Cherly

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026

Cherly is a wardrobe and styling app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

How AI processing works

When you add a photo, we send it to trusted processors to remove the background and to recognise the garment (currently PhotoRoom and OpenAI). When you ask for outfit suggestions or chat with the stylist, descriptions of your wardrobe — not your photos — are sent to OpenAI to generate the response. These processors handle your data under their own privacy commitments and do not use it to train their models per our agreements. Your photos are never shared publicly or sold.

Weather and calendar

If you attach a place to an event, we look up the weather forecast for that place. If you connect your calendar (Pro), events are read from your device to plan outfits — we store only what is needed to style you.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings → Delete account) or from the deletion page. Deletion removes your photos, wardrobe, and history. It is immediate and permanent.
